Peter was born in Shropshire in the Midlands and grew up on the outskirts of London. He has an undergraduate degree in Philosophy as well as an English-teaching qualification. After his undergraduate studies, Peter taught in Italy and Spain. He has always been involved in writing and film-making; and in 2002, he returned to the UK and set up an independent film company, Paperweight Films. He wrote and directed two short films; the second of which, ‘All Fall Down’, screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2003. As well as continuing to work on film projects, Peter taught at university level as a Lecturer in English Language. In January 2004, Peter took up a position teaching at LIBT. Over the following years, he taught courses in the Foundation, Diploma and Pre-Masters programmes. He also gained an MA from Brunel University in Creative Writing. Alongside his LIBT teaching, he also taught at Brunel University on undergraduate programmes. In 2008, Peter moved from teaching into an administrative role at LIBT as Academic Curriculum Manager (later Senior Manager of Academic Services) but remains very hands-on in terms of providing academic support both to teaching staff and students.
